Really enjoy the game, and its visual design. That said, the inability to listen to music or podcasts is a big strike against. This is especially odd for this game, as there is no in-game music at all. I dont understand why so many game developers make this error on a device where music/podcast listening is such a large part of its selling features. Correct this and get 5 stars easy... ****UPDATE**** Thanks for fixing the audio issue. Love the game now.
This game is more fun than the memory games we used to play with cards as kids because I can play it anywhere, any time! My husband and I have fun challenging each other to different levels. The user interface is clean, pretty, and uncluttered. Im addicted already!
I always liked matching card flipping games but they always get boring pretty fast. This one solves that problem by throwing bonus and penalty cards into the mix. Well worth the $.
I love the look of this game. I love the idea of this game. I want to love this game--but Ive got some problems: 1. Stop making me sign into Game Center to view my high scores and achievements! Game Center should be an option, not a requirement. 2. Game needs a zen mode where I can just relax and play without the pressure of a timer. Another mode I would love to see would be to replace the timer with a number like, say, 25, that counts down with each wrong guess, ending the game at zero. 3. Change or drop the idea of penalty cards altogether! Its tough work reaching level 4, and most of us usually arrive with scant seconds left. Adding bonus cards is great, but why penalize us!? All are brutal but The Reset penalty might as well be called "game over." The directions say to "be careful" or you might uncover a penalty card. These penalties are randomly slipped into a blind deck, all of which I am to eventually turn over. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO AVOID THEM?? A more fair solution would be to include the penalties as pairs, with the effect only occurring if both are uncovered during a turn, thereby making it incumbent on the player to remember their location. The penalties change your attitude from "I bet I can do better next time" to "This is impossible! Why bother!" (Not an attitude you want your players to have.) Sorry for the rant, but with just a few tweaks this could be a perfect game! Like I said: I want to love this game.
